Cleaning the Radiator. - Insanity Racing

After Clouds Hill and having to missed the final run at that event due to the engine repeatedly overheating, we have subsequently spent tens of hours cleaning the radiator of mud and "Bovington concrete", also finding a lot of debris from as far back as the Ebbw Vale event last year, as a result the engine temperatures where a lot more manageable this week end.

Part of this process was to soak the radiator for a couple of days and then carefully run a jet washer across it. This dislodged a lot of the mud from the radiator fins, however, the only way to get it properly clean and clear was to push a cable tie through each and every opening in the fins! (Oh and at this point  we spent some time straightening the fins damaged when the radiator fan exploded.)
